who is sandrene?
Sandrene is a Pittsburgh-born, Los Angeles-based writer who tells coming-of-age stories with grown-ups because even as adults, we’re still figuring out life. With a passion for elevating the voices of people found shied away in the corner and normalizing discussions about mental health, Sandrene writes emotionally charged themes of personal growth, becoming your best self, and rising to do extraordinary things. A former child performer with an IT degree, she was a nerd before nerds were cool, is prone to start dancing at any time, with or without music, and refuses to take herself too seriously.
Eager to return to her storytelling roots, she now focuses on writing and directing, with a strong passion for creating characters struggling to be seen, and focusing on emotionally charged themes of personal growth, being your best self, and rising to do extraordinary things.
In 2025, Sandrene founded Lowkey Moxie to produce and self-distribute independent television series. She is a proud member of the Television Academy and the Alliance of Women Directors.
